My family and I thank you for taking
a moment to learn about Jorde Custom Homes, Inc. There
has been four generations of Jorde’s building homes
and I have spent 20 of those years building along side
my father. I can still remember swinging a hammer at the
early age of 8, and have loved building things ever since.
After the death of my father three years ago, I decided
that it was time for change. I wanted to build something
that was unique, energy efficient and most of all, something
safe, that’s why I chose concrete custom homes.
Most
of today’s builders use conventional materials like
wood studs for framing, forced air furnaces for heating,
and with no thought of a fire sprinkler system. Using
an ICF (Insulated Concrete Forms) for constructing the
exterior wall is the most dramatic change in the type
of method we use to build. ICF’s provide protection,
energy efficiency and a healthier environment for you
and your family. Switching to steel studs for interior
walls provides us the ability to create straighter and
stronger walls. We also chose to incorporate hydronic
heating as the principle heating source because less air
movement creates a warmer feel and reduces contaminated
air like dander,
allergens, and dust. Clearly the most important decision
we made was to promote the use of fire sprinkler systems.
